The Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS), UWI St. Augustine Campus, invites students to participate in a creative Instagram Reels campaign for Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2026. This initiative forms part of the UWI Sexual Harassment Campaign, Doh Cross the Line | We Not On That.
Students are encouraged to develop engaging, thought-provoking reels that explore the theme Healthy Sexual Relations.
Theme Focus
Submissions should reflect one or more of the following
- Consent and communication
- Respect and safety
- Emotional connection
- Individuality and equality
Creative Formats
Choose a format that best delivers your message
- Transformation Reels
- Storytime/Vlog
- Split-screen comparison
Prizes & Recognition
- Exciting prizes are up for grabs
- Winning videos will be featured on UWI platforms
Eligibility
- Open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students of UWI
Submission Guidelines
- Do not post your Reel on Instagram before submission
- Ensure written consent is obtained from anyone featured in your video
- Videos should be created in Instagram Reel format (1080px x 1920px, 9:16 ratio) and submitted as MP4 or MOV files.
- Send your reel via a file transfer service (e.g., WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive) to STA-gender@uwi.edu
