The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China invites academic and non-academic staff of The University of the West Indies to participate in a series of Government of China-sponsored seminars. These in-person programmes present an opportunity for staff to engage in professional development and international exchange.

The available seminars are as follows:

-          Training Course on Biotechnology Application in Food Industry under the Global Development Initiative

-          Training Course on Cereal and Tuber Processing Technology under the Global Development Initiative

-          Seminar on Human Resources and Administrative Management for Trinidad and Tobago

Please note that these seminars are in person, and flights, meals, accommodation and transportation in China will be covered.

Nominees are required to submit the following documents:

-          Personal Information Form

-          Curriculum Vitae (CV)

-          Passport bio-data page

A physical examination will only be required if the preliminary review is successful. Applicants are therefore asked to await confirmation before proceeding, as any issues identified during the examination may result in rejection.

Please also note that the Embassy requires all documents two weeks before the start date of the selected programme. To facilitate timely submission, the International Office must receive all documents at least three days before the Embassy’s two-week deadline.
