Staff Notices

As we prepare for the start of the new academic year, Campus Security Services is pleased to advise that applications for 2026/2027 Staff Vehicle Permits are now open.

Once the No Thoroughfare Zone Policy takes effect for the new academic year, all staff, students and authorised service providers will be required to display a valid 2026/2027 Vehicle Permit to access the campus through the North and South Gates. 

Staff are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible to ensure they receive their permits before the start of the new academic year.

Permanent Staff

To apply for your vehicle permit:

• Click here to access the Vehicle Permit Application Portal.
• Select the Staff tab.
• Have your Staff ID Number and UWI Smart Card ID Number available to complete your application.

​Once your application has been been processed, your permit will be delivered to your department.

Temporary Staff and Authorised Service Providers

Each Head of Department is required to appoint a Virtual Applicant who will submit vehicle permit applications on behalf of temporary staff and authorised service providers. Temporary staff and authorised service providers should contact their department's administrative office for assistance with the application process.
