The Trinidad+Tobago Film Festival (TTFF), in partnership with Republic Bank’s Power to Make A Difference and The UWI St. Augustine Film Programme, has launched the Festival Immersion Programme, a new youth development initiative designed to give emerging filmmakers a closer look at how professional film festivals work.
Taking place as part of TTFF/26, the programme will give 15 students, aged 18 to 27, structured access to the festival environment while helping them build the knowledge, confidence and industry connections needed to navigate careers in film, media and the wider creative sector.
Participants will learn how film festivals function beyond screenings — as spaces for networking, professional development, industry engagement and career-building — while interacting with local, regional and international screen-industry professionals.
Dates: September 24–26, 2026 Eligible Students: UWI or COSTAATT students entering Year 2 or Year 3 with a primary focus on film Commitment: Participants must attend each full day of the programme Spaces Available: 15
The Festival Immersion Programme forms part of TTFF/26’s broader youth development slate and reflects a shared commitment by TTFF, Republic Bank and The UWI Film Programme to creating meaningful pathways for young people into the Caribbean screen and cultural industries.
