The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) invites academic staff to participate in The UWI St. Augustine Peer Observation and Feedback framework. This voluntary, non-evaluative program pairs you with a colleague for a sustained, two-semester exchange designed to enhance teaching strategies through mutual observation, reflection, and constructive dialogue.
Program Highlights
- Format: Reciprocal peer observation (minimum of 2 cycles per semester).
- Delivery: Conducted within your own teaching setting (in-person or online) with CETL support.
- Orientation: Mandatory online orientation required prior to starting.
- Certification: Participants complete the full cycle to receive a Certificate of Participation.
Key Learning Outcomes
By the end of the full cycle, participants will be equipped to:
- Conduct peer observations using the official UWI STA protocol.
- Provide descriptive, non-evaluative feedback.
- Reflect on personal teaching practices and integrate inclusive teaching methods informed by Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
