Advocates for Community Engagement (ACE) Applications Now Open

Are you an undergraduate or postgraduate student at The UWI, St. Augustine with a passion for service? Do you champion causes like animal welfare, community development, green initiatives or youth empowerment?

The Community Engagement and Service-Learning Unit invites you to apply for the Advocates for Community Engagement (ACE) student leadership programme!

This Year's Theme: “Cultivating Leaders, Building Community”

This academic year, our focus is on empowering you to unlock your leadership potential while creating meaningful, sustainable connections with local community partners and driving positive social impact.

Roles & Key Responsibilities

As an ACE leader, you will help champion community service, outreach, and civic participation across campus. ACE leaders commit to a minimum of forty (40) volunteer hours across the academic year. Responsibilities include:

-          Digital Marketing & Outreach: Promoting community service events hosted by the Unit and our partner organisations.

-          Student Engagement: Generating innovative ideas to inspire campus-wide volunteer participation and grow membership for partner NGOs.

-          Event Support: Serving as core crew members and event facilitators for Unit initiatives.

Application Requirements & Details

-          This is open to all registered UWI St. Augustine students. Applicants with prior NGO/CBO experience or simply a strong drive to make a difference are encouraged to apply.

-          Required Documents: Please have your résumé and unofficial transcript ready to upload within the application form.
