The Student Life and Development Department (SLDD) is pleased to reintroduce its Accessible Shuttle Service for new and returning students for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Launched in 2019, the service supports students with disabilities and medical conditions who experience mobility challenges and may be unable to successfully navigate the physical environment of the St. Augustine Campus. The service is also available to UWI St. Augustine Campus visitors with disabilities.

Students who utilise the SLDD Accessible Shuttle Service are asked to note the following:

Registration and Eligibility

-          Students must be registered with SLDD to access the service.

-          To register, check your UWI email for updates or visit the SLDD Office to complete your registration.

Requesting the Service

-          Students must submit their requests weekly, at least 48 hours in advance of the date on which the service is required.

-          Requests should be sent to SLDD@sta.uwi.edu.

-          The shuttle service operates within The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.

Cancellations

-          The department must be notified of any cancellations at least one day in advance.

Pickup and Waiting Time

-          The driver will wait up to 30 minutes at the designated pickup point before departing.
