Access NWRHA Records for Research

The Campus Ethics Committee has advised of an updated application process for conducting research at the North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) or accessing its records.

The following stipulations apply: 

  • - Applicants must complete and submit the NWRHA proposal form (available at their offices) at least three (3) months in advance of the starting date for the research. UWI Medical Science students may benefit from special consideration regarding the time-frame for submitting proposals. 
  • - Proposals should include hypothesis, rationale, background and method and must be endorsed by Researchers’ supervisors and Head of Department.
  • - The NWRHA Ethics Committee should be notified of completion of projects and a copy must be submitted to the committee.
  • - Researchers may publish findings after securing permission from the NWRHA Ethics Committee.
