Campus Literature Week

The Faculty of Humanities and Education Department of Literary, Cultural and Communication Studies presents their 18th annual Campus Literature Week – a week of readings at lunch time from March 14 to 18 ending with a Gala closing featuring Writer-in-Residence Mr. Lawrence Scott and commemorating the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s Death. All are invited.

The noon time readings from noon to 1.30pm schedule is as follows:

Monday March 14 | Spoken Word/Poets –  Motilal Boodosingh; Randy Ablack; Arielle John; Michael Logie; Chad Affonzo at the Alma Jordan Library, 3rd Floor Humanities Section, AV Room.

Tuesday March 15 | Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Students Part I – David King; Rehannah Khan; Kavita Rajapath; Anna Levi; Gilberte O’Sullivan at the Centre for Language Learning (CLL) Room 2.

Wednesday March 16 | UWI Staff/Lecturers and MFA Alumni – Amilcar Sanatan; Elizabeth Walcott-Hackshaw; Sharon Millar; Rhoda Bharath; Jannine Horsford at the Centre for Language Learning (CLL) Room 2.

Thursday March 17 | BOCAS Lit Fest-related authors – Kevin Hosein; H.K Williams; Ayanna Lloyd; Shivanee Ramlochan; Nicholas Laughlin; Barbara Jenkins at the Alma Jordan Library, 3rd Floor Humanities Section, AV Room.

Friday March 18 |Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing students Part II — L.A. Wanliss; Kavita Ganness; Otancia Noel; Michelle Meosa; B.D. Maharaj at the Alma Jordan Library, 3rd Floor Humanities Section, AV Room.

The Gala Ceremony takes place on Friday March 18 from 7 to 9pm at the Centre for Language Learning (CLL) Auditorium. The dress code is elegantly casual and light refreshments will be provided.
