Call for Papers - Caribbean Regional Theological Education Conference

The Caribbean Association Of Theological Schools (CATS) has issued a Call for Papers for the Caribbean Regional Theological Education Conference, which it will host from January 12th-14th, 2011, at the United Theological College of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica. 

Conference theme: Caribbean Theological Education: Mapping the Contours of the Future 

 

Call for Papers:

Two sessions at this conference will be devoted to the reading and discussion of papers within the following interest groups: 

  • Bible
  • Theology
  • History
  • Pastoral
  • Ethics
  • Spirituality 

All registered participants are invited to prepare papers to present in these interest groups. 

Each of the two sessions will have one major paper (20 minutes) and two shorter papers (10 minutes each), with time for discussion. At least one paper in each session must be by a student. 

Proposals, in the form of a 200 word abstract, should be submitted by October 1st, 2010. The chair of each interest group will examine the proposals and inform the persons whether the proposal is accepted by October 31st.

The Canoe Press at The University of the West Indies has expressed an interest in publishing a book containing a selection of papers from the conference.
