Call for Papers: Belize Country Conference

The UWI Open Campus has issued a Call for Papers for the Belize Country Conference, themed Building our Nation's sustainability through Education, Culture and Technology, scheduled to take place from November 16th-17th, 2010. 

Interested persons are invited to submit papers on the following topics:

  • An education system that develops human capital
  • An alternative curriculum that addresses multiple industries
  • Exploring the arts in its many facets which contribute to sustainable development
  • Using technology to advance development in: Physical and Virtual Classrooms, Environment, Climate Change, Growth of Businesses, Socioeconomic Equity and Stability, Crime and Violence Reduction, Poverty Alleviation

 

Time allotted for presentations: 20 minutes with 25 minutes for participant interaction. 

An abstract with a maximum of 250 words must be submitted before: September 3rd, 2010. 

Along with submission, please provide:

  • Name of author(s)
  • Topic
  • Contact information including telephone numbers, email and fax number
  • Brief biography of the author (50 words max)  

 

Full papers are to be submitted by: October 15th, 2010. 

Approved conference papers will be posted on the Open Campus website.
