Call for Papers deadline extended: International Conference hosted by UCCI

Scholars and practitioners in various disciplines are invited to participate in the International Conference on Leadership, Governance and Empowerment in the Caribbean, hosted by the University College of the Cayman Islands, from March 17th-18th, 2011. 

In addition, papers are invited on related topics, including:

  • Ethics in Government
  • Women in Politics
  • Media and Governance
  • E-Government
  • The Psychology of Leadership
  • The Evolution of Leadership and Governance in the Caribbean
  • Political Leadership in the Age of Globalization
  • Governance in Dependent Territories
  • Youth Perspectives on Leadership
  • The Civil Service and the Political Directorate
  • The Treatment of Leadership, Governance and Empowerment in Caribbean Literature
  • Leadership in Education, Education and Empowerment
  • Sustainable Development for Empowerment
  • Music and Empowerment, Community Empowerment
  • Cultural Issues Related to the Empowerment of Men and Women in Caribbean Societies
  • Other suggested related topics

 

Persons interested in being considered as presenters are asked to forward: 

  • 250-300 word abstract
  • 50-word biography
  • information on university affiliation, if any
  • a photograph, if there is no objection to having it displayed on the conference website  

 

Deadline for abstracts: January 21st, 2011.
