The Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social & Economic Studies (SALISES) of The University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine Campus, and the Turtle Village Trust of Trinidad & Tobago are issuing a call for papers and panels for an International Conference on the theme The Sustainable Development of Coastal Communities: Challenges and Solutions.
Deadline for abstracts: 15th February, 2011.
The conference will be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad, from 1st-3rd June, 2011. Participation is open to scholars, policy makers, graduate students, professionals, NGOs, civil society and community-based organizations. It is a forum for the exchange of ideas on critical issues related to climate change and coastal communities, biodiversity, turtle conservation, ecotourism, sustainable community development, the environment and related issues.
