Darren Ganga Foundation lends support to Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Blood Drive at UWI

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad & Tobago – The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus hosted the annual Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Blood Drive, today, Friday September 6.

This year, the event was a collaborative effort between The UWI, the Sir Frank Worrell Committee and the Daren Ganga Foundation.

The Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Blood Drive began in Trinidad and Tobago in 2009, by Nari Contractor, to whom Worrell had donated blood after his head injury in 1962. It is held twice annually at the UWI St. Augustine Campus.
