UWI St. Augustine names six Valedictorians

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago – The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Campus has named its six valedictorians for the Graduation Ceremonies to be held from Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th October 2013. They are Wainella Isaacs, Grace Bhagwandeen, Martrecia Alleyne, Shenelle Ramjewan, Samantha Jackson and Cherisse Ratiram who have been selected to speak on behalf of their graduating classes.  

The previously named six honorary graduands will also address the ceremonial proceedings. The honorary Doctor of Law degree (LLD) will be conferred on Rt. Rev Clive Abdulah and Mr. Ian Randle; the honorary Doctor of Letters degree (DLitt) will be conferred on Dr. Lakshmi Persaud, and Ms. Marina Salandy-Brown. Dr. Theodosius Poon-King and Dr. Elisha Tikasingh will receive the honorary Doctor of Science degree (DSc). 

The following is the schedule for the graduation ceremonies, and the valedictorians who will speak:
