Bishop Clive Abdulah among six to receive Honorary Doctorate at UWI graduation ceremonies

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago – The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Campus will present six honorary doctorates at the Graduation Ceremonies commencing today, Thursday 24th, and continuing until Saturday 26th October 2013.

The honorary Doctor of Law degree (LLD) will be conferred on Rt. Rev Clive Abdulah and Mr. Ian Randle; the honorary Doctor of Letters degree (DLitt) will be conferred on Dr. Lakshmi Persaud, and Ms. Marina Salandy-Brown. Dr. Theodosius Poon-King and Dr. Elisha Tikasingh will receive the honorary Doctor of Science degree (DSc). 

Honorary awards were conferred today to Dr Elisha Tikasingh and Mr Ian Randle, who were conferred at ceremonies this morning and evening respectively. Ceremonies continue tomorrow, where Honorary Doctorates will be conferred as follows:

Friday October 25th:                        

10:00 a.m.       Dr Lakshmi Persaud - Honorary Graduand and Guest Speaker       

4:00 p.m.         Bishop Clive Abdulah – Honorary Graduand and Guest Speaker    

 

Saturday October 26th:

10:00 a.m.       Ms Marina Salandy-Brown - Honorary Graduand and Guest Speaker         

4:00 p.m.         Dr Theodosius Poon King - Honorary Graduand and Guest Speaker
