Booting up in 4G

For Release Upon Receipt - November 12, 2013

St. Augustine

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago – The Faculty of Engineering of The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, in collaboration with CelPlan Technologies, Inc., will host the Caribbean Edition of CelPlan’s 4G Technologies & Network Design Boot Camp, scheduled for December 2-6, 2013, at The UWI, St. Augustine.

This 5-day course provides immersion into all the topics required by Telecom managers and engineers to deploy and optimise realistic 4G wireless networks. Students are not only presented with the technology itself, but also the added complexity of designing a data-centric network.

The 4G Technology and Network Design Boot Camp is divided into three modules: Wireless Communications Fundamentals, 4G Technologies in-depth Analysis (WLAN, WiMAX, LTE), and C: Design and Optimization of 4G Networks. Each module is taught by experienced 4G RF engineers who design and optimise networks around the globe.

The Boot Camp is designed to give CEOs, CTOs, managers, engineers, and technical staff the practical knowledge and expertise to deploy and optimise LTE and WiMAX 4G networks. Those who complete the full Boot Camp training courses may opt to take the CelPlan 4G Technologies and Network Design Certification Exam to solidify their mastery of the topics covered.

Participants can hope to gain, inter alia, a solid foundation and understanding of the basic principles governing 4G technologies, knowledge about new concepts and terminology specific to 4G broadband wireless systems, the ability to identify money-making opportunities, and competitive advantage.

Registration is US$2,450 per student, and closes on Friday November 15, 2013.
