MINI aid for Med students

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad & Tobago – The Faculty of Medical Sciences at The University of the West Indies (UWI) recently launched a raffle in aid of students of their Faculty, with the grand prize of a MINI Cooper Countryman vehicle. The raffle, which was launched on November 8 at the Office of the Campus Principal, aims to assist current medical students in need, and also to assist with the facilities at the new Student Study & Recreation Centre at the Faculty’s Joyce Gibson-Inniss Hall, which is located at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt. Hope. 

The car will be on display at various shopping malls on weekends from January 2014. Raffle tickets cost just $100, and may be obtained from the Faculty of Medical Sciences (645-2640 ext. 5027/5009), Oxford Motors (627-7531 ext. 1423/1420); and from The UWI St. Augustine Campus Faculty Offices (662-2002) - Engineering (ext. 84156), Humanities & Education (ext. 82030), Science & Technology (exts. 84488/84478), Food & Agriculture (exts. 82113/83902) and Social Sciences (ext. 82027). 

The initial draw date was December 23rd, 2013, but has been postponed to a date to be announced. The Faculty advises that all sold tickets are still valid.
