UWI Mona hosts Caribbean Universities Study Abroad Consortium

The University of the West Indies (UWI), in collaboration with University of Ghana, will host the 2008 Commonwealth Universities Study Abroad Consortium (CUSAC) members' meeting at the UWI Mona Campus, Kingston, Jamaica. The seminar, themed “Quality and Equivalence: Issues in Education Abroad”, will be held at the Mona Visitors' Lodge and Conference Centre, Mona Campus from Thursday 19th to Friday 20th June, 2008. Meetings for CUSAC member institutions only are scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2008.

The Seminar aims to provide a forum for dialogue among CUSAC member universities, as well as between them and non-commonwealth Universities. Members of UWI St Augustine Campus who may be involved in international programmes are invited to attend. This would include staff collaborating with other universities/institutions in areas such as joint research activities; joint teaching or supervision of students; special academic programs; exchanges, internships, electives and practicum, independent guided study programmes among others.

Look out for Seminar updates, as well as the special website, which will be launched soon. Registration costs US$150 for CUSAC members and US$200 for non-members.
