UWI to host International Business Speaker

What are born globals? Can an individual in a small country create a successful business with global reach and impact? The University of the West Indies (UWI) Institute of Critical Thinking will explore these two Business Education questions in a talk by Dr. Manek Kirpalani on Wednesday 26th November, 2008 at 5.30 p.m. Members of the university community and the wider public are invited to this public lecture.

Dr. Kirpalani has significant consulting experience with a number of companies in the world, and is the author of over 120 publications, including 15 books and articles in renowned journals, such as Journal of International Business, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. He is Distinguished Professor at The University of the West Indies, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Marketing and International Business at Concordia University (AACSB accredited), Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Helsinki School of Economics (AACSB accredited), and Distinguished International Visiting Professor at Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management, Warsaw (EQUIS accredited). He is currently Director of the Centre for International Business Education and Research at Bloomsburg University, Pennsylvania.
