UWI St. Augustine Hosts ‘Semester Kick-Off' Event to Ease Students into Campus Life

First-Year Students of The UWI St. Augustine cheer on their peers at the First-Year Experience (FYE) Mixers 2024 talent session. 

ST. AUGUSTINE - August 12, 2024:  The shift from secondary school to university can be challenging for some students. To help ease the transition, new students enrolling at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus are invited to log in to the “Semester Kick-Off” on Monday 12th August at 1pm. The Zoom event hosted by the Division of Student Services and Development (DSSD) is part of their First Year Experience (FYE) 2024 schedule of events and will include lots of opportunities for students to connect and activities to help them prepare for the upcoming academic year. This Kick-Off comes on the heels of the recently concluded “FYE Mixers”, which were hosted by the Student Engagement Unit of the DSSD. Photos of these activities are provided below.
