NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THE IIR WEBINAR

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago – Friday 25 September, 2026 – Due to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the webinar and lecture, "The United Obsession with Israel: The Strange Coalition of Contradiction” by Ephraim Ben Matityahu, the former Ambassador of Israel is canceled. The Institute of International Relations (IIR) offers apologies to all persons who were affected directly and indirectly by conflict, including the intense emotions the conflict evokes. The IIR is committed to academic freedom and the respect for human rights, thus will ensure that all events of a controversial nature are well vetted and if held, represented by all stakeholders to encourage respectful dialogue. The IIR is grateful to those who remain committed to peace.
