UWI Professor hosts Book-Signing

Professor Julien Kenny, former Head of Department of Zoology (1970-1992), The University of the West Indies (UWI) will sign copies of his new book entitled Orchids of Trinidad and Tobago”. This book-signing will be held on Wednesday 4th March, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the UWI Bookshop, St. Augustine Campus. Professor Julian Kenny is a respected zoologist, who has devoted himself to documenting the natural history of the Caribbean, with a specific focus on Trinidad and Tobago.

 

During his 27 year academic career at UWI, Professor Kenny has produced research which delved into the ecological dynamics of this country and the region. As an avid nature photographer Kenny has also contributed heavily to the documentation of wildlife over his decades of scientific study. He has also served on the boards of many Environmental Committees, ensuring the preservation and protection of the country’s environmental resources.

 

Professor Kenny will also sign copies of his other published books. These include “View from the Ridge”, “Flowers of Trinidad and Tobago” and “The Biological Diversity of Trinidad and Tobago”.
