Turtle Conservation and Ecotourism at the forefront of UWI Conference

‘Turtle Conservation, Ecotourism and Sustainable Community Development’ will be at the forefront at an international conference hosted by the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social & Economic Studies (SALISES). The conference will be held from July 28th to 29th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at The University of the West Indies (UWI). The conference will serve as a forum for the voicing and sharing of ideas on the critical issues related to the environment and its link to sustainable development.

The conference will feature a diverse group of speakers stemming from variety of academic backgrounds.The key speakers include Dr. Carla Noel-Mendez Chairman, Turtle Village Trust; Professor Paulo Nunes Professor of Environmental Valuation University of Venice; Sonja S. Teelucksingh Lecturer, UWI; and Dr. Allan Bachan, Turtle Village Trust.   

This conference is free and open to the public.
