UWI welcomes new International Relations students

Student orientation activities continued at The University of the West Indies (UWI) St Augustine with a warm welcome for new students of the University's Institute of International Relations (IIR).

The event, which took place at the IIR Conference Room, UWI St Augustine on Monday 7th September, aimed to welcome new students to the University community and to the Institute of International Relations and to introduce new students to the Faculty and Department.

The programme included a series of welcome addresses by members of UWI faculty and staff, including: Mr. Jeremy Callaghan, Campus Registrar; Dr. Hamid Ghany, Dean of Social Sciences; Professor Timothy Shaw, IIR Director; Professor Patricia Mohammed, Chairperson Graduate Studies; Dr Linda Hadeed, Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies (Social Sciences); and Dr Gale Rigobert, Orientation programme coordinator.
