UWI hosts Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival screenings

Screenings for the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival will be held at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago on September 24th and 25th, 2009. During the day, screenings take place at the Institute of Critical Thinking, and on evenings, they will be outdoors at the new Film Programme location on Carmody Street, St Augustine.

The programme for screenings is as follows:

Thursday 24th September:

11a.m.-1 p.m. The Contemporary Sorcerer, Carmen & Geoffrey

1 p.m.-3 p.m.  VS Naipaul: Tribute to a Native Son, The Cinema of Satyajit Ray

3 p.m. -5 p.m. Pather Panchali

7 p.m.-9 p.m.  Suck Meh Soucouyant, Sistagod II

Friday 25th September:

11 a.m.-1 p.m.  La passion d'un pays

1 p.m.-2 p.m. Racing Definitions, Power of the Vagina

2 p.m.-4 p.m. Sans Souci, Bury Your Mother

4 p.m.-6 .p.m. Gordon Rohlehr: Part I, Leroy Clarke: Fragments of His-Story, Coolie Pink and Green

7 p.m.-10 p.m. Queen of the Brands, Melvin: Portrait of a Player, Hasta Siempre, Afro-Saxons
