UWI Gerontology class hosts Parenting the Parent seminar

If you have questions about how to help ageing relatives to cope with the social, physical and economic changes involved in growing old, then an upcoming seminar organised by The University of the West Indies (UWI), Faculty of Social Sciences, Gerontology Class may provide the answers that you’re looking for.

Titled “Parenting the Parent”, the seminar will take place on Saturday 21st November, 2009 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), UWI St. Augustine. It will feature a panel discussion with Mr. Jeffrey Maynard, Dr. Joan Rawlins and Ms. Jacqueline Huggins. Dr. Innette Cambridge will deliver opening remarks, and the feature presentation will be made by Dr. Kenneth Niles, Tutor and Lecturer.

This event is absolutely free of charge, and is open to all interested, but there is a seating limit of 140 persons. Interested persons should call the listed numbers to reserve their seats and will give their registered names in order to enter.
