UWI Institute of International Relations hosts Library Day

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Institute of International Relations (IIR) will hold its

Library Day on March 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Augustine Campus. Themed “How we serve you,” the IIR Library Day will give patrons an opportunity to walk away with hourly door prizes, hidden surprises and information in its many guises.

“It is our way of saying thanks to students, faculty, staff and the wider campus community for their continued support,” said Tamara Brathwaite, IIR Librarian.

The IIR Library Day comes as the St Augustine Campus begins celebrations marking a half-century since its establishment in 1960.

The Institute of International Relations (IIR) @ The University of The West Indies (UWI) is situated on the St. Augustine Campus in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The UWI IIR houses the most comprehensive collection of information resources in the world on the international relations of the Caribbean. IIR postgrads undertake annual study tours to Georgetown (CARICOM), Suriname (SADEK), Cuba and/or Panama. The Institute has close working links with the ACS, ECLAC, ILO, UNDP, UNIC & UNATT among others in Port of Spain and in 2009 has been involved in events around the Fifth Summit of Americas and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
