UWI Studies Women In Politics

The University of West Indies (UWI), Centre for Gender and Development Studies (CGDS), will host a panel discussion titled, ‘Women in Politics: Leadership and Participation’ at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) Conference Room, UWI, St. Augustine, on Wednesday 17 October, 2007, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

The panel discussion will be chaired by Indera Sagewan-Alli, economist, leadership consultant and former Member of Parliament. Panelists will include Hon. Minister Eudine Job-Davis, Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, Wendy Lee Yuen, Deputy Political Leader, Congress of the People (COP), and Hazel Brown, Coordinator of NGO’s for the Advancement of Women.
