The UWI Alumni Association (T&T Chapter) hosts its 9th Annual Independence Cruise, ‘Liberty,’ aboard the Treasure Queen on Wednesday 31st August, 2011. Alumni, friends, family and well-wishers will enjoy a night of entertainment as they view the independence fireworks from an excellent vantage point – the calm waters off the North Western Peninsula.

The sounds of DJ Darryl and guest DJ, "Richard Simply Smooth," will be complemented by that of UWI Alumni, "Redymix DMT." Tickets cost TT$150 and proceeds from the cruise will assist the Association in financing the UWI Mentorship programme, bursary awards to needy students, as well as other educational development workshops.

The vessel departs from Pier II, Chaguaramas at 8pm. Boarding begins at 7pm and the vessel returns at 11pm. Transportation will be provided for persons who require shuttling to and from the venue, strictly by reservation, at an affordable cost.

Tickets can be purchased at Cache outlets nationwide, Student Advisory Services at UWI, or from members of the UWIAA Executive Committee.
