The producers are looking for females between the ages of eight and 45 for a variety of roles.
Amour, Désamour is a 90-minute film which is being funded by The University of the West Indies. The docu-fiction, which primarily explores gender and relationships, features fictional scenarios which reflect the experiences of women. The story presents seven female characters from different social, economic and racial groups. The major themes explored in this film include gender, relationships, abuse and sexuality. Throughout the film, there are no men physically present, although they are mentioned and referred to in the movie’s discourse.
The film will be shot and produced entirely within Trinidad and Tobago, and after its completion in March 2012 it will be entered in a variety of film festivals for screening. Through national, regional and international exposure, Amour, Désamour aims to stimulate discussions regarding gender and relationships.
