FAQs

Who can do a single UWI course (also referred to as Specially Admitted)?

To be considered as a Specially Admitted student, applicants for graduate courses should normally possess an undergraduate degree, but due consideration will be given to maturity, work experience and previous study in the absence of an undergraduate degree.

 

Will I receive credits for doing the course by itself?

Yes. Once you register for the course and successfully complete the course assessments, the credits will be recorded on your UWI transcript.

 

How many courses can I do as single courses?

Normally, a specially admitted student should be allowed to take no more than (12) credits in any given year, nor more than a total of 24 credits under this category of registration. Please complete a separate application form for each course.

 

Can I use these courses towards completing a degree at a later date?

Yes. Specially Admitted students may use not more than nine (9) credits from any particular programme towards UWI certification.

How do I apply for the course?

When applications are open, you can complete the online form and upload all supporting
documents (CV Required) based on the prerequisite requirements for the course. You will be notified via email of the outcome of your submission within 2-3 days. Please complete a separate application form for each course.

 

What are Contributing and non-Contributing countries as they relate to the tuition fees?

Contributing countries include: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, The Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Jamaica,  St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & The Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos.
