In a feature carried in the March 2009 issue of UWI Today, it was inaccurately stated that Dr David Chadee Senior Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences, of The University of the West Indies, was the recipient of a TT $1.5 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for research in mosquito management. The grant from the Gates Foundation was not awarded to Dr. David Chadee but was, in fact, awarded to Professor Dawn Wesson, Department of Tropical Medicine, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, while Dr David Chadee was a sub-contractor of the project.
