Alicia Elias-Roberts, Lecturer and Oil and Gas Law Course Director, at the Faculty of Law, UWI St. Augustine delivers her paper on Environmental Challenges in Offshore Energy Development at the UWI Oil and Gas Conference. The two-day Conference (June 8-9) brought together oil and gas law experts from around the world, including Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana and Turks and Caicos from the region and the UK, USA, Canada and Angola to critically expand the discourse on energy issues in the Caribbean, particularly from a legal perspective.

One of the action points coming out of the conference is to create a publication out of the conference papers. It is anticipated that the book will be launched in 2018.
