Online History journal
“In addition to the desire to contribute to regional development, the launch of this journal is a response to the growing general public demand for new information which occurs while there is restricted visibility of the research output of the Department. This is particularly so in the case of our graduate students whose research remains confined to the University’s library shelves. The Journal is a therefore intended to showcase historical research undertaken at the University of the West Indies, and in particular to facilitate the wider circulation of the research findings of our graduate students,” she said. “The Department is also mindful of the growing demand by researchers for publishing opportunities, and therefore invites contributions on topics of national and regional historical interest from our local, regional and international colleagues.” The Link for the Journal is http://www.mainlib.uwi.tt/epubs/historyaction/index.htm

Dr. Rita Pemberton, Head of the Department of History, launched their Online Journal recently. The Journal, which will be published annually and made available via UWI Space of the Main Library, will be of considerable benefit to scholars, students, libraries, and members of the public interested in history.
