Get Ready to Start Your Career with Careers and Placement

Employers are seeking students who have achieved academic excellence and relevant practical work experience. At UWI there are many ways to achieve practical skills to help give you a wider range of career options when you graduate. UWI Careers and Placement Section offers the following programmes.

Career Advice Programme (CAP)

CAP is designed to provide information and advice on Career Planning and Development to students from Year One to final year. CAP workshops are held on Thursday afternoons from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. You can attend only one session.

Students interested are required to indicate which session they would like to attend. Register at Careers and Placement Section any time between Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Please note that this program is only available in Semester One.

Executive Transition Programme (ETP)

ETP is designed to equip 2nd year students with the tools necessary to successfully transition into internships, vacation employment and the workplace. ETP workshops are held on Thursday afternoons at 1:00PM. Attendance at all workshops will earn participants a certificate upon completion.
