Integrated coastal management in the wider Caribbean is recognised as the approach for ensuring the survival and sustainable development of the coastal resources of the region.
The Coastal Manager needs to have a fund of knowledge and skills that will support reliable decision-making on the sustenance of coastal resources and infrastructure and systematic tropical coastal zone management initiatives.

The Graduate Programme in Coastal Engineering in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering has two (2) degree offerings:

• Postgraduate Diploma in Coastal Engineering & Management
  and
• MSc in Coastal Engineering & Management
