Microsoft Academic Alliance - Dreamspark

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has, under agreement with Microsoft, joined the Microsoft Academic Alliance Programme. This program allows students and staff to freely access a number of software titles through Microsoft's Dreamspark Premium, including Windows Operating Systems, such as XP, 7 and the recently released Windows 8, and also a host of Developer Tools, such as the Visual Studio environment, utilized within the Department's teaching curriculum.

In order to obtain an account, please email either Azim Abdool ( or Ravi Deonarine ( from your official UWI student email account to obtain access. Messages not originating from an official UWI student email account will not be answered.

After obtaining a logon, students can proceed to the Department's Dreamspark Webstore.
