NASA INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAME (NASA I2) 2015

NASA I2 seeks to facilitate a structured educational exchange among NASA's science and engineering workforce, U.S. interns and visiting university students from abroad, including Trinidad and tobago.

STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR SEMESTER 2 2014/2015  

 
Requirements

Must be a registered year three (3) or year four (4) undergraduate student in the BSc. Electrical and Computer Engineering programme.

Responsibilities

Provide academic support for laboratory exercises and course tutorials

Compensation

$40.00 per hour (Students are allowed to submit claims at a maximum of 13hrs per week)

Deadline: DECEMBER 5th 2014
Application forms may be obtained from, and must be submitted to, the Departmental Office, Electrical and Computer Engineering.

PART-TIME DEMONSTRATORS AND MARKERS

 
Requirements

Can be a fulltime student of the Department’s Master of Applied Science programme, or a graduate of the BSc. programme with at least one year’s work experience in the field of Electrical & Computer Engineering   

                                                    

 

Responsibilities
 

Provide academic support for laboratory exercises and course tutorials

 

Applications (Updated UWI job application form, copy of birth certificate updated résumé) should be sent, in duplicate, to the Head, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, W.I., Fax No: 1-868-662-4414.

 

Applicants who are NOT citizens of Trinidad and Tobago MUST submit the following:

-copy of bio-data page of passport

- Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME) certificate

CelPlan Technologies, Inc. (CelPlan) and the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus (The UWI) have signed an Academic Program Courseware License Agreement by which CelPlan will provide training materials on radio communications and Radio-Frequency (RF)-based systems, standards and technologies to The UWI.

To accelerate this integration, CelPlan will conduct a “4G Technologies and Network Design Boot Camp” from December 2nd to 6th, 2013, at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.  This 5-day course will provide CXOs, managers, engineers, and technical staff with the practical knowledge and expertise needed to deploy and optimize realistic 4G networks. Students will not only be presented to the technology itself, but also to the added complexity of designing a data-centric network.
