PACAM XII was held in Port of Spain; Jan 03rd - Jan 06th 2012
The Twelfth Pan American Congress of Applied Mechanics (PACAM XII) being held in Port of Spain, Trinidad in Jan 03rd - Jan 06th 2012, in collaboration with the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine
Buildings in the Faculty of Engineering renamed in honor of the region's‘pioneers of Engineering’
The following cluster of Buildings in the Faculty of Engineering have been renamed as follows;
- Faculty of Engineering Block 1, as the Ken Julien Building, in honour of the former pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Engineering Block 2, as the Desmond Imbert Building, in honour of the former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, also a pioneer in his own right
- Faculty of Engineering Block 13 (Except the New Auditorium), as the Max Richards Building, in honour of the former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and former Campus Principal
- The Food Technology Lab as the George Moon Sammy Building, in honour of our very distinguished Professor who pioneered the establishment of the Food Science and Technology Unit\
The Faculty’s Annual Prizes & Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday October 25, 2011 in Lecture Theatre 1, Faculty of Engineering.
A total of One Hundred and Seventy-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred and Eighty-Two Dollars ($177,582) were presented to over One Hundred and Four (104) prize winners by Fifty-Eight (58) donors.
The Faculty is once again grateful to the donors (both new and regular) for their unstinting support of the Faculty in its quest for rewarding the excellent performance of its students.

West Indian Journal of Engineering (WIJE) now has a new website.
Currently, seven journals are online.
The update of the website is ongoing, with the aim to eventually providing all the journals published (from 1967 to present).
