The profession of medicine is one of the oldest and most noble known to man. Although the emphasis may have shifted from healer to caregiver, the tenets and practices remain the same. The School of Medicine, of the Faculty of Medical Sciences (St. Augustine), takes pride in moulding fine, young minds, from all over the world, into first class physicians, with the requisite knowledge and skills to practise anywhere in the world. Accreditation

 

Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago

Graduates of the M.B.B.S. programme are eligible for licensure in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and selected CARICOM states. 

 

CAMM-HP

The M.B.B.S. programme is currently accredited by the the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP).

 

ECFMG

The School of Medicine is recognized by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). This grants our graduates the right to take all three steps of the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE).

 

Canada

Medical degrees obtained from this programme are acceptable to the provincial/territorial medical regulatory authorities in Canada, and therefore acceptable to all medical organizations in Canada.

 

Medical Council of India

The MBBS degree is also recognized by the Medical Council of India and graduate are eligible to write the Medical Council of India Screening Test.
