Lectures and Tutorials

Lectures and Tutorials, laboratories and workshops are conducted at various venues, such as, John F. Kennedy (JFK) Lecture Theatre and Auditorium, the Management Lecture Theatre, the Faculty of Social Sciences Computer Laboratory, the Learning Resource Centre, and The Teaching and Learning Complex to name a few. The Alma Jordan Library

Library facilities include individual study carrels, postgraduate rooms and reading rooms.

The Fourth Floor of The Alma Jordan Library houses a Social Sciences Division comprising a collection of over 75,000 items, including over 300 journals and collections in other subject areas and an extensive Economics collection.

Students have access to a computerized catalogue, CD-rom and online search facilities, audio-visual facilities, and West Indiana, UN and other special collections.


Computer Laboratory

The Faculty of Social Sciences Computer Laboratory provides services to students pertaining to:

  • Software training
  • Printing service
  • Access to computers for completion of course assignments

The Laboratory is used to conduct fee-paying training in software packages, for example, Microsoft Office, Project Management, SPSS and Web Design, as well as basic computer repairs and A+ Certification, which equip participants to fulfil the roles of network administrators and systems engineers.
