The Faculty of Social Sciences will host a Democracy Forum on Tuesday 24th November, 2009 at 3.00 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge. There will be two speakers from the Commonwealth Secretariat in London who will be here for the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting (CHOGM). The speakers and the titles of their topics are:

1. Manoah Esipisu, Deputy Spokesperson, Commonwealth Secretariat, London. Topic:

"Media, Development and Democracy - Can one do without the other ?"

2. Dr. Purna Sen, Head of Human Rights, Commonwealth Secretariat, London

Topic : "Human Rights in Times of Change."
