The Department aspires to provide outstanding education, to excellence in basic and applied research, and to be a source of expert professional skill and advice in Mathematics, Statistics and their applications.
Mission Statement
The Department will continue to serve the needs of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean region by providing undergraduate, post-graduate and ongoing teaching of the highest quality, doing excellent research with an emphasis on relevant applications, promoting Mathematics and Statistics in secondary schools, government and industry, and providing consulting services to academia, private enterprise and government institutions.
