Collection of Certificates

Certificates will not be distributed to graduands at Ceremonies as many graduands would have already received their certificates. 

If there is either a Library Fine Hold or a Financial Hold on your record, the certificate will not be issued before Graduation or thereafter, nor will transcripts be issued on your behalf, until the hold is cleared.

Holds are blocks placed on a student’s record for failure to comply with obligations to the University.  A Hold is imposed for financial indebtedness to the University such as unpaid tuition and fees or unpaid library fines. 

Kindly arrange to clear such holds before Graduation.

It should be noted that due to late notification of awards, some certificates may not be available for distribution prior to the Graduation Ceremony.

Graduates who have not received certificates prior, may collect certificates from the Examinations Section located on the First Floor of the New Student Administration Building from Monday November 12th, 2012.

The onus is on the Graduate to check availability of his/her certificate. If you wish to have your certificate mailed, please indicate accurately on the reply form. Click here to sign up .

You are asked to ensure that on the reply form you indicate accurately the address to which your certificate is to be mailed (if this is the option you have chosen).

Please note that certificates are dispatched by registered mail approximately two (2) weeks after the ceremonies. If however, you wish to have your certificate sent by courier service you will be required to pay the appropriate fee at the Cashier before dispatch.
