The Health Service Unit provides quality pharmaceutical care to the University of the West Indies population. We carry a wide variety of prescription and non-prescription medications.

Prescriptions written by overseas medical practitioners are accepted provided they are validated by a registered practitioner in Trinidad & Tobago

All items are sold at cost price plus 20% to an student presenting a valid identification  card. We are willing to accommodate special orders provided certain requirements are met.

We counsel on all prescriptions and over the counter medications.

Confidentiality

We are very mindful the prescriptions held at the pharmacy and any other information about your health are of a private and confidential nature. With regard to the collection, storage and access to that information we are bound by the rules of the Health Information Privacy Code, and the Pharmacy Board Act.

It is important for you to be aware that once you receive attention from any qualified member of staff at the Unit, your   information is available to all qualified personnel through our computer system. The details of your prescription are confidential between yourself and the pharmacist. Exceptions to this occur where there are concerns for your own safety and the safety of others and when there is a legal obligation to provide such information.
