What time does the 5K begin?
The 1st registered runner will leave UWI SPEC at 5:15 a.m.
Will participants be briefed before the race?
Yes. All participants MUST arrive for a pre-race briefing at 4:20 a.m. in UWI SPEC on the morning of the race.
Do all participants receive a medal after the race?
Yes. All registered participants receive a medal.
Are there prizes awarded for the 5K?
Yes. The top 3 registered finishers in both the male and female categories will receive prizes. In addition, the youngest and oldest registered finishers will also be awarded.
Is the 5K for a cause?
Yes. The inclusion of the 5K caters to a broader spectrum of individuals, enabling participation in a distinguished and well-organized event. This year's cause is to contribute to youth development through sport and therefore proceeds from both the half-marathon and 5K will go to talented sports juniors towards their tertiary education.
