Mr. Kiran Emrith currently serves as a Full-Time Assistant Lecturer in Education (Mathematics) at The University of the West Indies (UWI), School of Education, within the Faculty of Humanities and Education. In this role, he contributes to the training and professional development of future educators through rigorous pedagogical instruction, curriculum guidance, and mentorship. Mr. Emrith has also been a Mathematics educator at the secondary school level for the past 12 years and has served as a Dean of Discipline for the past 6 years, bringing extensive practical experience in classroom instruction, student development, and school leadership to his university teaching practice.
He is the creator and founder of Math Minds Academy, a visionary initiative that reflects his deep passion for mathematics education. Math Minds Academy (

The platform is intentionally designed to make mathematics more enjoyable, engaging, accessible, and easy to understand. It not only supports students, but also teachers and parents with resources grounded in the best practices of contemporary math pedagogy.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mr. Emrith is a professional sound engineer with 16 years of industry experience. He completed the Advanced Course in Sound Engineering at the University of UNIMORE, Reggio Emilia, in collaboration with the prestigious RCF Audio Academy in Italy.
His research interests span a diverse yet interconnected range of fields, including:
- Mathematics Education and Teaching Strategies (flipped classroom model, manipulatives, think-pair-share, graphic organizers, integrated instructional technologies, gamification in education, and game-based learning)
