I am currently a PhD candidate with research interests in the digital humanities, specifically pertaining to virtual reality storytelling, artificial intelligence, transmedia and the implementation of cutting-edge media into the Caribbean region. In addition to presenting several conference papers and publishing articles in the aforementioned areas, I have also designed an undergraduate course LITS 3915: Storytelling in Media, which presents students with theoretical knowledge required for the creation of digital narratives in formats such as the graphic novel, electronic literature, film, video games, and virtual reality. It allows students to develop their creative and critical analysis skills by merging narrative theories, visual analysis, and medium-specific structural techniques. I have also proposed and designed a workshop targeted to Secondary School educators aimed at developing introductory AI literacy skills, such as prompt engineering, and promoting the ethical and effective leveraging of generative AI technology to enhance pedagogy and the completion of other professional tasks.
