A Message from the Campus Principal
Accreditation at The UWI St. Augustine
As the Campus Principal of The UWI St. Augustine, I am both delighted and pleased to announce that our Campus has begun its application for continuing institutional accreditation as required by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT). Our Campus was first granted accredited institution status with ACTT in 2011 and again in 2017, both times for the maximum term allowed. Our current accreditation ends in February 2026, and I am confident that we will exceed the standards of the ACTT and demonstrate our exemplary performance.
Since embarking on the accreditation journey in 2010, our commitment to a stringent introspective evaluation has been steadfast. The process involves a comprehensive Self-Study Report, a visit from external evaluators, and a thorough evaluators’ report. The feedback received from our most recent application in 2017 was instrumental in highlighting our strengths and identifying areas for further growth.
As we continue to strive towards making our Campus the best possible environment for learning and development, the recommendations provided by the evaluators will be invaluable.
